About the Artist

McCarty is a young professional freelance artist based in Boston. They graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance in May 2025. This fall, McCarty is continuing their education with a Graduate Performance Diploma at Boston Conservatory, where they will continue to study with Eli Epstein, former Second Horn of the Cleveland Orchestra. They are an active freelancer and enjoy performing with their brass quintet, B-Line Brass. Last summer, McCarty traveled to Europe on tour with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra led by Benjamin Zander. They also attended the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival and the Lake George Music Festival. In their free time, McCarty enjoys attending Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts, playing chamber music with their friends, and reading mystery books.
